Director Po-Hsuan Hsu (NTHU) and Dr. Yanzhi Wang (NTU) hosted the 9th Taiwan Symposium on Innovation Economics and Entrepreneurship in NTHU on Friday, December 11, 2020.

We had Professor Thomas Åstebro (HEC Paris) for a keynote speech (virtually). Some other international presenters also presented virtually. The format of the Symposium was that we had several presentations (30 minutes for each presenter) followed by the virtual keynote speaker's presentation from 3pm to 4pm.

Thomas Åstebro is the L’Oreal Professor of Entrepreneurship at HEC Paris and Academic Director, Creative Destruction Lab – Paris, past Academic Director HEC On-line Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship; co-Director Entrepreneurship and Innovation Track HEC MBA Program, Academic Director, HEC Leadership Center; member of the Steering committee HEC Management Research Group and the Steering and Curriculum committees in the MBA Program at HEC. He is listed in Marquis Who's Who in the World, is among the top 1 percent most downloaded authors on ssrn.com, has made more than 200 presentations, published 40 academic journal articles, and has been mentioned in business media over 50 times (including The Economist, Business Week, The Times, and Wall Street Journal). He is an Associate Editor of Management Science Editor at Small Business Economics, Advisory Editor of Industrial and Corporate Change and Research Policy, and past Associate Editor of European Management Review.
